The "curse of the mother" determines what the fairer sex.

Biological differences between men and women has led to many of the most primitive social structures and division of labor that even today maintain a certain effect; among those differences is the strength, at least in terms of weight, size and muscle tone, which has resulted in the designation of the female as the "weaker sex".

The "curse of the mother" determines what the fairer sex.

Now, what real value of this name? It can be extended to, for example, genetics? What is the genetically stronger sex? According to research conducted by scientists at the University of Otago in New Zealand, men inherit from their mothers some defective genes that are not inherited by women.

The lead author of the study, Niell Gemmell says that this is more than reason enough to say that man is, in genetic terms, the "weaker sex".

The cause is in the mitochondrial DNA inherited from the mother, whose mutation negatively affects fertility, cognitive ability and eventually life expectancy, which explains why the average life expectancy of women is higher than men . This heritage, which has been dubbed by scientists as "the curse of the mother", promotes the development of disease in the heart, nerves and muscles.
