It is a native Hillsborough man who died days ago because of an infection resulting from a rare and dangerous bacteria called Vibrio vulnificus'.
As reported by ABC Action News, the man had contracted the bacteria in the state of Mississippi, as it denounced the local health department. The authorities noted that this is the tenth case of contagion registration for this year and the fourth in turn deadly.
The Vibrio vulnificus' is a pathogenic bacillus, which causes infection through consumption of seafood and raw fish, but can also enter the human body through superficial wounds in situations of immersion, because it is found naturally in water warm seas. It belongs to the types of bacteria 'feed' meat.
