On January 5, 1906 the city of Masaya, Nicaragua, was shaken by an earthquake of destructive intensity of 5.6 on the Richter Scale, with its epicenter in the Valley of the Laguna de Apoyo, and then the evening of the next day, another earthquake born under his own entrails of 4.7 E-4, providentially to be less destructive subsurface faults to five kilometers deep.
Where there was less impact, was at least slip tiles, and cracks in walls and concrete walls. For the dissemination of such damage it is apparent that failures entered the city through the mountains of Monimbó, where branched throughout the city, in linear forms, gorges, bends and winding.
