What is the truth about the "Alien" Atacama?

The mysterious "Ata" was discovered in the Atacama Desert in Chile, in 2003. It was a small humanoid skeleton, with many seemingly inexplicable characteristics from a scientific point of view,

In 2012 a number of scientists set out to study by x-rays, scans and genetic sampling; genetic results have determined that Ata human origin, and his mother was a resident of the area where it was found, but 9% of their DNA does not match the human genome. The analysis of teeth and bones indicated that it was not a fetus: the leg bones showed expected growth plates in a 6 years old; Now, how is it that a child of six years is 15 centimeters?

One possibility is that he suffered from an extreme case of dwarfism, though still not genetic markers of the disease were found. Another hypothesis is that it is a fetus with progeria, a disease that causes symptoms very early aging.

Of course it should be a very extreme case of progeria, nor genetic markers found in this case. Others propose that Ata, died after an abortion or have been subjected to a drying or botched mummification, which made his bones acquired a strange appearance.
