THOUSAND OAKS, CA — According to head coach Sean McVay, Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson (hamstring) will be labelled as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts (10 a.m. PT, FOX). Jackson will likely be a game-time decision.
The Rams had not yet practised when McVay spoke with media on Friday morning. McVay stated that Jackson will "do some stuff with our guys" in practise on Friday.
"I'll find out in a little bit," McVay said when asked if Jackson would play on Sunday. "It'll probably come all the way down to a game-time decision."
If Jackson is unable to play, McVay said there is a "possibility" of shifting offensive lineman Joe Noteboom from right guard to left tackle, but "we're working through a couple of different things."
"If that's the case, you'll find out before kickoff," McVay stated.
Meanwhile, McVay stated that offensive tackle Kevin Dotson has a "good chance" of being on the 48-man gameday roster on Sunday.
McVay indicated that wide receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring) will return to practise next week, meaning that the team will begin the 21-day activation window for Kupp next week.
Kupp has been on Injured Reserve for the first four games of the season as he recovers from a hamstring injury suffered during training camp. McVay previously stated that the injury "really just didn't go in alignment with when those things occurred and other situations and under similar circumstances." Kupp went to see a doctor in Minnesota earlier this month to get to the bottom of the problems.
McVay stated that he "100%" values Kupp's input when it comes to how Kupp feels about game activation. McVay stated that the Rams will not be careless, but Kupp also knows his body.
"So if he feels good enough, and the situation has been in alignment with, 'we're ready to get him,' we're going to get Cooper back and ready to compete for us, because he's a big part of our team and I know he's put a lot of work in," McVay stated. "(His opinion) weighs a lot in it, so that's the most important thing to me."
