The joint effort between students from different disciplines, managed to combine knowledge of chemistry and marketing to win first place at national level, and the second in Latin America, of the Eighth Edition of the Henkel Innovation Challenge.

Under the coordination of the students Paulina Mar Lucas, career International Business at the School of Business and Management, and Valeria Cruz, student of Chemical Engineering of the UNAM, the project "New System Laundry Bacterial" that dispenses water, detergent and other additives, all the applause he got.

While on the one hand, a punctilious marketing strategy for the product, on the other, we worked on the modification of a bacterium, now patented and used in the metalworking was developed. This modified microorganism, physically located in a liquid solution is sprayed on clothing as an aerosol, you have the ability to devour any type of stain.

The students pointed out that by not generate foam, like any common detergent, promote the product can be difficult. "How could we ask them to trust ?, bacteria because many grandmothers think that if not lather the soap will not clean the clothes; however, they were able to sell the product to the jury, "they said. Obviously, they managed to overcome this challenge, at least with the panel of judges.

The organizer of the contest showed great interest in the new product, to be launched in a few five years.
