June 8 632 in Medina, territory located in present-day Saudi Arabia, Muhammad (pubh) died, one of the most influential religious and political leaders in history.
Muhammad (pubh) was born in Mecca around the year 570. Muhammad (pbuh) worked as a trader and had an uncomplicated life until 40 years old. In 610, in a cave on Mount Hira north of Mecca, Muhammad (pbuh) had a vision. In it, God spoke through the Angel Gabriel, and ordered him to become the Arab prophet of the "true religion."
Thus began a series of religious revelations, Muhammad (pubh) and others collected in the Koran. These revelations provided the basis for the Islamic religion. Muhammad (pubh) is considered the last prophet of the Judeo-Christian tradition. For the creation of Islam, it adopted the theology of these older religions, while introducing new doctrines. By the year 622,
Muhammad (pubh) had already achieved a large following in Mecca. For that reason, the city authorities, who had a great interest in preserving the pagan religion, planned murder. Muhammad (pubh) then fled to Medina, where he began creating his great empire. Many Arab tribes converted to Islam, and Muhammad (pubh) became the leader of all of southern Arabia.
According to Muslims, there were five great prophets (or "rasul magnets"). These were: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad.
