Key starters were injured for the Dolphins in their overwhelming win over the Broncos.

The Dolphins suffered many injuries in their overwhelming win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday, and they will be evaluated in the coming days. Both starting linebacker Jaelan Phillips and center Connor Williams were injured and were unable to finish the 70-20 victory at Hard Rock Stadium. Phillips hurt his oblique in the second quarter, and Williams hurt his groin in the third. Phillips was ruled out near the end of the game when neither player returned to the game.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel stated after the game that he didn't have an instant update on either player. However, he added he received the impression from Miami's head trainer that he "wasn't too worried about it." With Williams out, third-year player Liam Eichenberg took over at center. Williams has started every game since joining Miami last season. Eichenberg was passed up for the starting guard role by Isaiah Wynn but was granted the backup center spot after practicing at the position throughout the offseason. Phillips was back in the lineup after missing Miami's Week 2 game due to a back issue.

River Cracraft, another wide receiver, suffered a shoulder injury and was forced to leave the game. Late in the fourth quarter, cornerback Eli Apple was taken out of the game to be assessed under the NFL's concussion protocol.
